Cheating is not “between two consenting adults”. There is a third person who doesn’t consent to being cheated on. Cheating is essentially a form of sexual assault.

The argument is that it robs people of their consent. I would not consent to sex with my husband if I knew he was sleeping with another woman.

Therefore, by lying about the other woman, he is taking away my consent to sex.
